We’re changing the email notification customers receive when they email RPA.
What's changing
Shorter notification containing a reference number
If you’ve recently emailed the RPA email address, you will have received a long acknowledgement email. We are reducing the size of this notification and the information it contains.
The shorter notification will contain a reference number that is specific to the email you sent to us. This is useful information for you to save so that you can be confident your email arrived, and you can quote the unique reference when needed. It will also include the subject of your email.
Different email address
You’ll also notice that the address the notification comes from is different.
Rural Payments Service
rural.payments.service@notifications.service.gov.uk
The new notification will come from an email address that will be unfamiliar to you. We want to make you aware that it is a genuine email notification from RPA. We will only ever email you from the addresses listed on the following GOV.UK page:

At long last - a sensible and helpful move forward!

Please could this acknowledgement email include the subject heading of our email to which you are responding. I get many acknowledgements in a day and sometimes struggle to match the acknowledgement to the particular email I have sent

Hi Mark. The new acknowledgement will include the subject heading from the email you send to us.

Is this a 'do not reply to' address? If we query the email do we send an Email with ref no. to the new address or the old one?
Comment by RPA Editor posted on
Hi Marian. Yes this is a 'do not reply' email address. For any further queries, please use the same email address you used to contact us originally.
