Recently, Defra shared an environmental land management scheme update including the full range of actions, payment rates and when they’ll be available, with a summary on the Future Farming blog.

With more exciting opportunities in existing and new schemes to come, at RPA we are busy making the remaining 2022 payments, issuing Sustainable Farming Incentive agreements and payments and working on our capital grant schemes. This week we opened for Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier revenue applications, and will shortly be sharing details of our improved Mid Tier application process.

Over the last year, everyone at RPA has been working to help farmers and rural businesses through the schemes and services we provide, and you can read our story of 2022 here RPA’s strong performance helps farmers and rural businesses across the country - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

We’re pleased to have been able to support so many farmers and are keen to do even more in 2023. We will be increasing our engagement with rural communities and continuing to use insight and feedback to improve our services; if there’s something we can be doing better we’d like to make it happen.

We’d like to thank farmers and rural businesses, our industry stakeholders and welfare organisations and everyone who has used our services over the last year, for working with us in delivering our schemes and addressing challenges.

We know there is always more to do and we are committed to continuing to listen, learn and make improvements to how we work, as we support farmers navigate the agricultural transition.
